조지 프레더릭 스콧슨-클라크
영국 연극 포스터 디자이너
George Frederick Scotson-Clark은 영국의 포스터 디자이너이자 삽화가로, 저명한 오르간 연주자이자 작곡가인 Frederick Scotson Clark 목사(1840-1883)의 아들이다. 영국 브라이턴에서 성장했으며 Aubrey Beardsley의 동급생이었다. 1891년부터 1897년까지 미국에서 무대 및 의상 디자이너, 연극 포스터 디자이너로 일했다. 1890년대에는 Century Magazine의 아트 에디터를 맡았고, 뉴욕 신문을 위한 연극 포스터, Dodd, Mead를 위한 도서 포스터, 그리고 1896년부터 1897년까지 The Outing을 위한 포스터를 디자인했다. 1897년 영국으로 돌아와 연극 포스터 제작을 계속했다.
