George Trobridge era un artista inglese i cui paesaggi e dipinti di mare hanno ricevuto notevole apprezzamento in tutta l'Inghilterra. È stato anche direttore della Belfast School of Art in Irlanda del Nord, una posizione che ha ricoperto per ventuno anni, e padre del noto architetto Ernest George Trobridge Ha esposto in Inghilterra, al Belfast Ramblers' Sketching Club e a Dublino. Ha pubblicato The Principles of Perspective as Applied to Model Drawing and Sketching from Nature (1884) e Swedenborg, His Life, Teachings and Influence, e The Foundations of Philosophy (1904).
