George Trobridge foi um artista inglês cujas paisagens e pinturas do mar receberam considerável aclamação em toda a Inglaterra. Ele também foi diretor da Belfast School of Art na Irlanda do Norte, uma posição que ocupou por vinte e um anos, e pai do notável arquiteto Ernest George Trobridge Ele exibiu na Inglaterra, no Belfast Ramblers' Sketching Club e em Dublin. Ele publicou The Principles of Perspective as Applied to Model Drawing and Sketching from Nature (1884) e Swedenborg, His Life, Teachings and Influence, e The Foundations of Philosophy (1904).
