George Walker

George Walker nació en 1781 cerca de Leeds, el menor de cinco hermanos; su padre William era un droguista y miembro de la Capilla de Mill Hill. George fue educado en Mansfield y luego en la escuela del Revd. Charles Wellbeloved en York. En lugar de seguir el comercio de su padre, estudió historia natural y bellas artes, haciendo frecuentemente dibujos de animales silvestres, personas y paisajes. Murió en 1856.
