Giuseppe Cades
Pintor y escultor neoclásico romano
Giuseppe Cades fue un escultor, pintor y grabador italiano. Cades nació en Roma. Estudió con Mancini y Domenico Corvi, obteniendo un premio en 1765 con su cuadro de Tobías recuperando la vista. Visitó Florencia en 1766, y dos años después ejecutó un retablo para San Benedetto en Turín y en 1771 otro para la iglesia de Santi Apostoli. También decoró el Palazzo Chigi con frescos, paisajes y escenas de Tasso. Dejó dos grabados al aguafuerte: Cristo bendiciendo a los niños pequeños y La muerte de Leonardo da Vinci. Se unió a la Accademia di San Luca de Roma en 1786. Murió en Roma.
