Hendrik Bary fu un eminentes incisore olandese. Bary nacque e morì a Gouda. Dal suo stile sembra essere stato un allievo di Cornelis Visscher, oppure aver formato il proprio stile imitando il suo modo. Abbiamo diverse lastre sue di ritratti e vari soggetti, eseguite molto accuratamente con il bulino, che hanno grande merito, sebbene non siano affatto pari alle opere di Visscher. Generalmente segnava le sue lastre con il suo nome, H. Bary, e talvolta H. B.
