Henry Dawe
Englischer Kupferstecher und Maler
Henry Edward Dawe war ein englischer Kupferstecher und Genremaler, der Bruder des Künstlers George Dawe Dawe wurde 1790 in Kentish Town bei London geboren. Er wurde von seinem Vater, dem Kupferstecher Philip Dawe, unterrichtet und studierte auch an den Schulen der Royal Academy. Er unterstützte Turner bei dessen Liber Studiorum und fertigte viele Porträts seines Bruders als Mezzotinto-Drucke an. Als Maler stellte er in der Society of British Artists aus, deren Mitglied er 1830 wurde. Er starb 1848 in Windsor.
