Henry John Stock

Henry John Stock se formó en las escuelas de la Royal Academy y expuso en la Academia y en otros lugares durante muchos años. Parece que se ganaba la vida pintando retratos, aunque su verdadero interés residía en temas imaginativos expresados en un estilo que sugiere la influencia de William Blake y G. F. Watts. Es posible que sintiera una especial identificación con Blake. Al igual que Blake, nació en Soho, y vivió posteriormente en Felpham, en Sussex, donde Blake había pasado los años 1800-1803 bajo el patrocinio de William Hayley.
