Henry Noel Humphreys

Henry Noel Humphreys foi um ilustrador, naturalista, entomólogo e numismata britânico. Humphreys nasceu em 4 de janeiro de 1810 em Birmingham, filho de James Humphreys, e foi educado na King Edward's School local. Quando jovem, estudou manuscritos medievais na Itália e tornou-se um erudito realizado em diversas áreas. Além de seus textos de entomologia, Humphreys escreveu obras sobre moedas gregas e romanas antigas, arqueologia e a arte da escrita e da impressão. Ele morreu em 10 de junho de 1879.
