Jacob Duck
Pintó soldados holandeses y escenas costumbristas
Jacob Duck fue un pintor y grabador holandés. Se cree que Duck nació en Utrecht. Desde 1611, se formó en Utrecht para convertirse en orfebre, oficio en el que se convirtió en maestro en 1619. Desde 1621 tomó lecciones de dibujo de Joost Cornelisz Droochsloot. Estuvo activo principalmente en Utrecht, pero también en Haarlem entre 1636 y 1646, mientras que entre 1656 y 1660 vivió en La Haya. En 1661 regresó a Utrecht, donde murió y fue enterrado en el monasterio de Santa María Magdalena. Duck pintó principalmente soldados, figuras y escenas cotidianas. Sus obras se encuentran en muchos museos destacados, incluido el Museo del Hermitage.
