Jacob George Strutt foi um pintor e gravador britânico de retratos e paisagens no estilo de John Constable. Era o marido da escritora Elizabeth Strutt e pai do pintor, viajante e arqueólogo Arthur John Strutt. Strutt nasceu em 4 de agosto de 1784 em Colchester, em Essex, um dos oito filhos de Benjamin Strutt e Caroline, nascida Pollett. Em 8 de novembro de 1813, casou-se em Londres com Elizabeth Byron, com quem teve quatro filhos; seu segundo filho, Arthur John Strutt, nasceu em 1819. Strutt mudou-se para Lausanne, na Suíça, por volta de 1830. Com seu filho Arthur, viajou pela França e pela Suíça de 1835 a 1837, e mais tarde para a Itália; eles estabeleceram um ateliê em Roma. Ele retornou à Inglaterra em 1851 e morreu em Roma em 1864 ou 1867.
