Jakob Maurer
Pintor paisajista alemán de Kronberg
Jakob Maurer fue un pintor de paisajes alemán. Maurer estudió en el Instituto de Arte Städel y fue alumno del pintor Jakob Becker allí. Su compañero de clase Carl Theodor Reiffenstein también influyó en su desarrollo artístico en Fráncfort del Meno. Maurer se mudó más tarde a Düsseldorf, un centro de formación pictórica en Europa a través de la Escuela de Pintura de Düsseldorf, y fue alumno privado de August Weber junto con Anton Burger, cuya pintura de paisajes estuvo influenciada por Johann Wilhelm Schirmer. Maurer lived and worked in Kronberg and was a member of the Kronberg painters' colony. Jakob Maurer falleció el 2 de mayo de 1887 en Kronberg a la edad de más de 60 años.
