James Arthur O'Connor
Pittore paesaggista irlandese autodidatta
James Arthur O'Connor (1792 – 7 gennaio 1841) è stato un pittore irlandese. James Arthur O'Connor nacque al 15 di Aston's Quay, Dublino – figlio di un incisore e tipografo, William O'Connor. O'Connor divenne un eminente pittore di paesaggi. Fu autodidatta, ricevendo solo poche lezioni da William Sadler. Viaggiò a Londra con Francis Danby e George Petrie, esponendo alla Royal Academy nel 1822. O'Connor visitò la Francia, il Belgio, i Paesi Bassi e la Renania. Morì in povertà, a Brompton, Londra, il 7 gennaio 1841. O'Connor era sposato – il nome di sua moglie era Anastatia.
