James Pollard
Pintó carruajes y caballos
James Pollard fue un pintor británico conocido por sus escenas de diligencias, caza del zorro y equinas. Pollard nació en Baynes Spa Fields (más tarde renombrado Exmouth Street) en Islington, hijo del pintor y editor Robert Pollard (1755–1838). Entre 1821 y 1839, James Pollard expuso en la Royal Academy. Expuso en la British Institution en 1824 y 1844. Durante su carrera, también trabajó con John Frederick Herring Sr. en varias pinturas de carreras de caballos en las que pintó los fondos y los espectadores mientras que Herring pintó los caballos. Muchas de sus composiciones se publicaron como aguatinas, aunque, a diferencia de su padre, él mismo grabó solo unas pocas planchas. James Pollard murió en Chelsea en 1867.
