Jan Bohuszewicz
Poolse schilder van Italiaanse landschappen
Jan Bohuszewicz was een Poolse schilder. Jan Bohuszewicz studeerde schilderkunst bij Józef Rapacki in Warschau. Hij nam actief deel aan de Revolutie van 1905, waarna hij naar Zakopane verhuisde om aan de repressie te ontkomen. Vanwege gezondheidsproblemen vestigde hij zich in Genua, vanwaar hij talrijke kunstreizen maakte, onder andere naar Venetië, Ligurië, Chioggia en Piëmont. In 1920 bezocht hij Polen tijdens een onafhankelijke tentoonstelling bij het Genootschap voor de Bevordering van de Schone Kunsten (Towarzystwo Zachęty Sztuk Pięknych). Twee jaar later werden zijn werken tentoongesteld bij de Associatie Frankrijk-Polen, waar ongeveer vijftig van zijn werken als onderdeel van de tentoonstelling werden gepresenteerd.
