얀 베닉스
사냥 정물화 대가
얀 위닉스 또는 요안니스 위닉스는 네덜란드 화가였다. 그는 아버지 얀 바프티스트 위닉스와 사촌 멜키오르 데 혼데코에테르에게 함께 교육을 받았다. 아버지와 마찬가지로 그는 다양한 주제에 몰두했지만, 그의 명성은 주로 죽은 사냥감과 사냥 장면을 그린 그림에서 비롯된다. 이 장르의 많은 그림은 이전에 연장자 위닉스의 작품으로 여겨졌지만, 현재는 일반적으로 아들의 작품으로 간주된다. 위닉스는 1664년과 1668년에 위트레흐트 화가 길드의 회원이었다. 스무 살의 나이에 얀 위닉스는 표현의 폭과 색채의 풍부함에서 아버지와 경쟁했으며, 이후 아버지를 능가했다. 1697년 그는 조선, 과학, 요새 건축 기술을 배우기 위해 공화국을 방문한 피터 대제의 초상화를 그렸다. 암스테르담에서 위닉스는 캔버스에 그린 벽화로 개인 주택을 장식하는 자주 고용되었다.
