Jan Weenix ou Joannis Wenix foi um pintor holandês. Ele foi treinado por seu pai, Jan Baptist Weenix, junto com seu primo Melchior d'Hondecoeter. Como seu pai, dedicou-se a uma variedade de assuntos, mas sua fama deve-se principalmente às suas pinturas de caça morta e de cenas de caça. Muitas imagens neste gênero antes atribuídas ao Weenix mais velho são agora geralmente consideradas obras do filho. Weenix foi membro da guilda de pintores de Utrecht em 1664 e 1668. Aos vinte anos, Jan Weenix rivalizava e posteriormente superou seu pai em amplitude de tratamento e riqueza de cor. Em 1697, ele pintou um retrato de Pedro, o Grande, que visitava a República para estudar construção naval, ciência e a arte da fortificação. Em Amsterdã, Weenix era frequentemente empregado para decorar casas particulares com pinturas murais em tela.
