Johann Richter
Venezianische Barocklandschaften
Johan Richter oder Giovanni Richter war ein schwedischer Barockmaler. Richter wurde in Stockholm, Schweden, geboren. Zu seinen Brüdern gehörte der Medaillengewinner Bengt Richter (1670–1735). Er malte hauptsächlich Landschaften oder Veduten von Venedig. Um 1710 reiste er nach Venedig, wo er ab 1717 als aktiv erwähnt wird. Seine Werke wurden vom italienischen Maler Luca Carlevarijs (1663–1730) beeinflusst. Er starb 1745 in Venedig.
