Johannes Leemans
Maestro del bodegón de caza
Johannes Leemans fue un pintor del Siglo de Oro neerlandés. Según Houbraken, quien no especificó a qué hermano se refería, se ganaba la vida de manera lucrativa pintando bodegones de trampantojo con utensilios de caza, jaulas para pájaros y armas. Según el RKD, era el hermano menor del pintor Anthonie Leemans, y ambos son conocidos por sus bodegones de utensilios de caza y obras de vanitas que influyeron en Christoffel Pierson debido a su popularidad. Johannes también era comerciante de vinos además de ser pintor. Vivió y trabajó en La Haya, pero está registrado en Ámsterdam en 1671.
