John Donowell

John Donowell fue un arquitecto y grabador británico del siglo XVIII, considerado equivalente a Thomas Sandby y Thomas Malton como uno de los principales dibujantes de arquitectura en el tercer cuarto del siglo XVIII. Expuso en 1761 en la Free Society, luego durante la década de 1760 en la Society of Artists, y desde 1778 hasta 1786 en la Royal Academy; en esa época se publicaron grabados, algunos coloreados a mano. Donowell realizó una serie de dibujos topográficos, principalmente vistas de Londres, como el Gran Paseo en los entonces de moda Jardines de Marylebone.
