ロンドンの地形画と版画
ジョン・ドノウェルは18世紀のイギリスの建築家および版画家で、トーマス・サンビーやトーマス・マルトンと並んで、18世紀後半の主要な建築製図家の一人と見なされています。彼は1761年にフリー・ソサエティで展示し、その後1760年代にはアーティスト・ソサエティで、さらに1778年から1786年まではロイヤル・アカデミーで展示しました。この時期には、一部手彩色された版画が出版されました。 ドノウェルは多くの地形図を描き、その多くはロンドンの景観で、例えば当時流行していたマーリルボーン・ガーデンズのグランド・ウォークなどがある。
