John Fulleylove
Pintor paisajista e ilustrador inglés
John Fulleylove fue un artista paisajista e ilustrador inglés. Nacido en Leicester, se formó inicialmente como arquitecto en la firma local «Shenton and Baker», antes de convertirse en artista especializado en acuarelas y óleos. Expuso ampliamente en Inglaterra desde 1871 en sedes de Londres como la Royal Academy, la Royal Society of British Artists, la Fine Art Society, el Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours y el Royal Institute of Oil Painters, así como en muchas otras ciudades y localidades regionales. Se convirtió en miembro del RI en 1879 y del ROI en 1883. En el extranjero, pintó en Francia, Italia, Grecia y Oriente Medio. Sus ilustraciones en acuarela aparecieron en varios libros de viajes, como los de A & C Black. Fulleylove falleció el 22 de mayo de 1908 en su hogar de Hampstead y fue enterrado en el lado este del cementerio de Highgate. En 1878, Fulleylove se casó con la artista Elizabeth Elgood. Su hija Joan Fulleylove (1886–1947) se convirtió en una destacada diseñadora de vidrieras, produciendo ventanas para la catedral anglicana de Jartum. También tuvieron un hijo, John Christopher Fulleylove, quien se casó con Margery Dudeney, hija del diseñador de acertijos Henry Dudeney.
