John Yenn

John Yenn foi um notável arquiteto inglês do século XVIII. Yenn nasceu em 8 de março de 1750. Foi estudante na Royal Academy a partir de setembro de 1769. Foi eleito associado da academia em 1774 e acadêmico pleno em 1791. Serviu como tesoureiro da academia de 1796 a 1820. Foi aluno de Sir William Chambers. No final da década de 1770, sucedeu a Chambers como arquiteto do Duque de Marlborough no Palácio de Blenheim, onde suas obras incluíram, em 1789, o projeto do pequeno «Templo da Saúde» em estilo coríntio, construído para celebrar a recuperação de Jorge III de sua doença. Nas proximidades, em 1783, construiu uma nova ala lateral na igreja de Woodstock. Chambers lhe proporcionou outros cargos importantes: em 1780, tornou-se Inspetor de Obras no Richmond Park, e mais tarde ocupou o mesmo cargo no Palácio de Kensington, na Buckingham House e nas Cavalariças Reais.
