イェルク・ブロイ（父）
ドナウ派の祭壇画巨匠
アウクスブルク出身の老ヨルク・ブレウは、ドナウ派のドイツの画家であった。彼は織工の息子であった。 彼はオーストリアへ赴き、1500〜02年にそこでメルク祭壇画（1502年）などの多翼祭壇画を数点制作した。彼は1502年にアウクスブルクへ戻り、そこで親方となった。彼は1508年頃と1514/15年の2度、イタリアへ旅行した。 1537年の死後、彼の息子である小ヨルク・ブレウは、10年後に自身が死去するまで彼のアウクスブルク工房を引き続き主宰した。
