Josef Lauer
Pioniere delle nature morte floreali
Josef Lauer nacque nel 1818 a Vienna. Studiò all'Accademia di Belle Arti nelle classi di Sebastian Wegmayr, Joseph Mössmer, Thomas Ender e Franz Steinfeld. Lauer si concentrò sulla pittura di nature morte con fiori e frutta, essendo il primo a rappresentare nature morte floreali integrate nei paesaggi. La sua prima mostra fu nel 1840, poi espose le sue opere in diverse mostre, anche presso l'Associazione Artistica Austriaca. Dal 1861 fu anche membro della Künstlerhaus di Vienna. Visse e lavorò esclusivamente a Vienna. Josef Lauer morì nel 1881 a Vienna.
