Josef Lauer
Pioneiro em naturezas-mortas florais
Josef Lauer nasceu em 1818 em Viena. Ele estudou na Academia de Belas Artes nas classes de Sebastian Wegmayr, Joseph Mössmer, Thomas Ender e Franz Steinfeld. Lauer concentrou-se na pintura de naturezas-mortas com flores e frutas, sendo o primeiro a representar naturezas-mortas florais integradas em paisagens. Sua primeira exposição foi em 1840, depois ele mostrou suas obras em várias exposições, também na Associação Artística Austríaca. Desde 1861, ele também foi membro da Künstlerhaus de Viena. Ele viveu e trabalhou exclusivamente em Viena. Josef Lauer morreu em 1881 em Viena.
