Joseph Constantine Stadler
Incisore tedesco emigrato prolifico
Joseph Constantine Stadler fu un prolifico incisore tedesco emigrato, che realizzava immagini tratte dalle opere dei suoi contemporanei. Le sue incisioni spaziano su una vasta gamma di soggetti, inclusi paesaggi, marine e ritratti, nonché temi militari, sportivi e decorativi. Stadler fu impiegato dal principale editore di stampe dell'epoca, John Boydell (1720-1804). Il 23 marzo 1799, Stadler sposò Ann Elizabeth Sandman nella chiesa di St Anne's, a Soho, a Londra. Viveva a Knightsbridge quando morì all'età di 73 anni.
