ユリアーン・デ・フレイント
ベルギーの歴史画家と活動家
ジュリアン・ジョゼフ・デ・フリントは、宗教画、歴史画、肖像画で知られるベルギーの画家兼政治家でした。 政治家として彼はフラームス運動に関与し、1898年にベルギーがフランス語に加えてオランダ語を公用語として認めるよう促す主要な推進者の一人でした。 彼はゲントで父から初期の訓練を受け、その後アントワープに移り、すぐに画家ヘンリック・レイス男爵の影響を受けた。彼は後にアントワープ王立美術アカデミーの院長となった。
