莱昂·弗朗索瓦·科梅尔
学院派女性与东方题材画家
莱昂·弗朗索瓦·科默尔是一位法国学院派画家，以描绘美丽女性和东方主题而闻名。 科默尔出生于北部省特雷隆，父亲是一名教师。1853年，他随家人搬到里尔。他从小就对艺术表现出兴趣，成为里尔美术学院阿尔方斯·科拉斯的学生，并于1867年获得金奖。从1868年起，北部省的资助使他得以在巴黎著名的国立高等美术学院亚历山大·卡巴内尔的工作室继续深造。在那里，他受到了东方主义的影响。 Comerre 于1871年首次在巴黎沙龙展出，并于1875年和1881年在那里获奖。1875年，他凭借画作《L'Ange annonçant aux bergers la naissance du Christ》（天使向牧羊人宣告基督的诞生）获得罗马大奖。这使他获得了1876年1月至1879年12月在罗马法国学院的奖学金。1885年，他在安特卫普的"Exposition Universelle"上获奖。他还在美国（1876年）和澳大利亚（1881年和1897年）赢得了享有盛誉的艺术奖项。1903年，他成为荣誉军团骑士。 他在伦敦的皇家艺术学院和皇家肖像画家协会展出，并在格拉斯哥的格拉斯哥美术学会展出。 1884年，他搬到巴黎郊区韦西内，在那里居住直到1916年去世。 他的妻子Jacqueline Comerre-Paton也是一位画家。他的侄子是著名艺术家Albert Gleizes。
