擅画游鱼，生动传神

刘寀（11世纪），字宏道（亦写作道源或弘道），北宋开封（今属河南）人，生卒年不详。曾任县官，后被任命为宫廷侍从，性格豪放不羁。他常沉醉于诗词与美酒，并与贵族子弟交往。他擅长诗词，尤其精于画鱼。 Liu Cai's paintings center on fish, depicting fish competing for food and playing with algae. The "Illustrated Treasure Mirror" praised his work as "though it may be like wind or duckweed, water or water plants, it is still a lively sight." The Xuanhe Painting Manual records 30 of his works, including 'Playing with Algae and Fish' and 'School of Mackerel Playing with Water Chestnuts,' praising his fish paintings as 'deeply capturing the meaning of playing with broad water and floating depths, forgetting the rivers and lakes.' 他的传世作品包括美国圣路易斯艺术博物馆的《落花游鱼图》、国立故宫博物院的《藻戏鱼图》，以及台北国立故宫博物院的《群鱼戏荇图》。这些作品运用渲染技法描绘鱼鳞和水波，画中并未直接描绘水波，而是通过水生植物的动态来暗示水流。
