Lorenzo Lotto
Pintor renacentista de estilo nervioso
Lorenzo Lotto fue un pintor, dibujante e ilustrador italiano, tradicionalmente ubicado en la escuela veneciana, aunque gran parte de su carrera se desarrolló en otras ciudades del norte de Italia. Pintó principalmente retablos, temas religiosos y retratos. Estuvo activo durante la Alta Renacimiento y la primera mitad del período manierista, pero su obra mantuvo un estilo generalmente similar al de la Alta Renacimiento a lo largo de toda su carrera, aunque sus posturas nerviosas y excéntricas y sus distorsiones representaban una etapa transicional hacia los manieristas florentinos y romanos.
