Ma Lin
Song dynasty court painter
Ma Lin (birth and death years unknown) was a person from the Southern Song dynasty during Emperor Ningzong's reign, roughly active in the early 13th century. He was from Qiantang in the Song dynasty and the son of Ma Yuan. During the reigns of Emperors Ningzong and Lizong in the Southern Song, he served as an attendant at the Painting Academy and was skilled in landscapes, figure painting, and flowers and birds.
