馬泰斯·范登貝赫
魯本斯門下的荷蘭畫家
馬蒂亞斯·揚斯·范登貝格是荷蘭黃金時代的畫家。 根據 Houbraken 的說法，他的父親 Jan van den Bergh 是一位來自 Alkmaar 的畫家，曾在 Ypres 為 Rubens 服務，Matthias 便出生於此。Houbraken 聲稱，Jan van den Bergh 在移居 Brabant 並後來為 Rubens 工作之前，曾是 Hendrick Goltzius 的學生。年輕的 Matthias 從父親那裡學習繪畫，並進入 Rubens 的工作室工作。 根據RKD的記錄，他於1630年至1640年間在魯本斯的工作室工作，1635年時要麼是魯本斯的學生，要麼以其他身份受僱於其工作室。1646年，他成為阿爾克馬爾聖路加公會的成員。1648年至1651年間，他居住在萊頓，此後回到阿爾克馬爾，1656年的記錄顯示他住在倫巴第街（Lombardsteeg）。他繪製肖像、士兵題材和歷史寓言畫，不應與同時代的代爾夫特畫家馬特烏斯·吉利斯茲·范登貝爾赫（約1608-1687年）混淆。
