Nicolás Enríquez
Pintor novohispano, cofundador de academia
Nicolás Enríquez de Vargas fue un pintor novohispano. Fue alumno de Juan Rodríguez Juárez. Solo tenemos información de Enríquez a partir de 1722. En 1728, junto con José de Ibarra, apoya la fundación de la Academia de Pintores en Nueva España, que fue el precedente de la Real Academia de San Carlos. La mayor parte de su obra permanece en Guadalajara.
