Nicolás Enríquez
Peintre novohispanique, cofondateur d'académie
Nicolás Enríquez de Vargas était un peintre novohispanique. Il fut l'élève de Juan Rodríguez Juárez. Nous ne disposons d'informations sur Enríquez qu'à partir de 1722. En 1728, il soutient avec José de Ibarra la fondation de l'Academia de Pintores (Académie des peintres) en Nouvelle-Espagne, qui fut le précédent de la Real Academia de San Carlos. La majeure partie de son œuvre se trouve à Guadalajara.
