Nicolás Enríquez
Pittore novoispanico, cofondatore accademico
Nicolás Enríquez de Vargas fu un pittore novohispanico. Fu allievo di Juan Rodríguez Juárez. Abbiamo informazioni su Enríquez solo a partire dal 1722. Nel 1728, insieme a José de Ibarra, sostiene la fondazione dell'Academia de Pintores (Accademia dei Pittori) nella Nuova Spagna, che fu il precedente della Real Academia de San Carlos. La maggior parte delle sue opere si trova ancora a Guadalajara.
