Nicolás Enríquez

Nicolás Enríquez de Vargas was een Nieuw-Spaanse schilder. Hij was een leerling van Juan Rodríguez Juárez. We hebben alleen informatie over Enríquez vanaf 1722. In 1728 steunt hij samen met José de Ibarra de oprichting van de Academia de Pintores (Schildersacademie) in Nieuw-Spanje, die de voorloper was van de Real Academia de San Carlos. Het grootste deel van zijn werk bevindt zich nog in Guadalajara.
