Noel Nisbet
Bekannte Märchen-Illustratorin
Noel Nisbet war die Tochter des schottischen Künstlers Hume Nisbet (1849-1923), verbrachte jedoch ihr gesamtes Erwachsenenleben im Londoner Vorort Merton. Sie heiratete den Landschaftsmaler Harry Bush (1883-1957), der die Gegend, in der sie lebten, mit treuem Realismus darstellte. Sie war auch eine bekannte Illustratorin von Kinderbüchern – darunter Titel wie Kosakische Märchen und Volkserzählungen, Der höfliche Prinz und Vierundvierzig türkische Märchen.
