Pedro Duque y Cornejo
Sculpteur baroque sévillan
Pedro Duque y Cornejo était un peintre et sculpteur espagnol de l'époque baroque, appartenant à l'école de sculpture sévillane et disciple de son grand-père Pedro Roldán. Il est né à Séville et a travaillé principalement dans sa ville natale (église du Sagrario, palais de San Telmo et la cathédrale locale), à Grenade et à Madrid (statues à Santa Maria de El Paular, après 1725). À Cordoue, il a réalisé le chœur de la mosquée-cathédrale. Il est mort à Cordoue.
