Percy Thomas

Percy Thomas fue un pintor y grabador inglés nacido en Brentford, Londres. Su padre, Ralph Thomas, supuestamente era coleccionista, grabador y amigo de Whistler, pero en realidad también era un Serjeant-at-law, equivalente a un juez senior. Thomas estudió con Whistler, Auguste Delatre (1822-1907) y en las escuelas de la Royal Academy bajo Millais. Fue elegido miembro de la Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers en 1881 y expuso en la Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, la Dudley Gallery Art Society, la Royal Academy of Arts, la Royal Society of British Artists, el Royal Institute of Oil Painters y en la Art Gallery. Varios grabados al aguafuerte de Thomas se encuentran en las colecciones del Museo Ashmolean, la Galería de Arte de Auckland en Nueva Zelanda y el V&A. Su fallecimiento fue registrado en Hailsham, Sussex, y fue enterrado en la cercana localidad de Hellingly.
