Pieter Christoffel Wonder
Retratista holandês ativo na Inglaterra
Pieter Christoffel Wonder foi um pintor holandês, ativo na Inglaterra. Wonder foi em grande parte autodidata, fazendo cópias dos antigos mestres, embora entre 1802 e 1804 tenha frequentado aulas na Academia de Arte de Düsseldorf. Em 1807, ele estabeleceu a "Genootschap Kunstliefde" (Sociedade do Amor pela Arte) em Utrecht junto com outros artistas, incluindo Jan Kobell, e serviu como diretor. De 1823 a 1831, ele trabalhou na Inglaterra, onde se tornou conhecido como pintor de retratos, mas também pintou algumas cenas de interiores e cópias de obras de Rafael.
