Pieter van Anraedt
Pintor holandés de historia y retratos
Pieter van Anraedt fue un pintor neerlandés del Siglo de Oro, especializado en escenas históricas y retratos. Se sabe poco sobre las circunstancias de su vida. Según el RKD, nació en Utrecht (ciudad), pero se formó en Deventer, donde fue influenciado por Gerard ter Borch. Arnold Houbraken menciona que este pintor era muy amigo de Jan van der Veen, un poeta. Se casó con su hija Antonia y se mudó a Ámsterdam en el año del desastre, 1672, cuando el ejército francés atacó la ciudad. Luego obtuvo el encargo de pintar a los regentes de la casa Oudezijds huiszitten en la calle Leprozengracht. Esta obra fue muy admirada por Houbraken en 1718, pero atribuida a Bol, aunque está firmada y fechada. Poco después de pintar este retrato grupal, Anraedt regresó a Deventer, donde murió.
