Refined Yuan painter with international influence

Ren Kangmin(任康民), a painter from the Yuan Dynasty (exact birth and death years unknown), was known for his landscapes and figure paintings and is considered one of the Yuan artists with an international perspective. Records show that he traveled to Japan and created two murals there at Juntai Temple, one of landscapes and one of figures. This experience not only reflects the active cultural exchange between China and Japan during the Yuan Dynasty but also shows how his artistic style had influence across regions. His works focus on refined lines and balanced composition. Although few of his works survive, he is mentioned in sources like the *Dictionary of Painters' Names* and the *Records of Juntai Temple's Left and Right Chambers*, making these key references for later research on his artistic achievements.
