Robert Barnes
Pittore e acquerellista inglese
Robert Barnes era un pittore e illustratore inglese. Nacque nel 1850 e fu educato alla St. Thomas's Charterhouse, alla Leighs School of Art in Newman Street e sotto la guida del signor W. L. Thomas, presso il quale fu apprendista nel 1856. Le illustrazioni per «La storia di Margaret Denzil» su Cornhill furono la sua prima opera pubblicata, ed espose per la prima volta alla Royal Academy nel 1873. Tre anni dopo divenne socio della Royal Water-Colour Society. Le sue opere ottennero riconoscimento all'Esposizione di Edimburgo del 1886 e all'Esposizione di Adelaide del 1887.
