Robert Hills
Peintre de scènes rurales
Robert Hills était un peintre et graveur anglais. Hills est né à Islington. Il a d'abord étudié sous la direction de John Alexander Gresse, puis s'est inscrit à la Royal Academy of Arts en 1788. Il peignait principalement des scènes rurales, en particulier des animaux de ferme. Un certain nombre de ses œuvres se trouvent aujourd'hui au British Museum. Hills était connu pour dessiner des animaux dans les œuvres d'autres artistes, tels que George Barret, Jr. et George Fennell Robson. Il a publié Esquisses en Flandre et en Hollande (1816), avec ses propres aquatintes.
