ロバート・ヒルズ
農村と家畜を描いた画家
ロバート・ヒルズはイギリスの画家兼版画家でした。ヒルズはイズリントンで生まれました。彼は当初ジョン・アレクサンダー・グレスに師事し、その後1788年にロイヤル・アカデミー・オブ・アーツに入学しました。彼は主に農村の風景、特に家畜を描きました。彼の作品の多くは現在、大英博物館に所蔵されています。 ヒルズは、ジョージ・バレット・ジュニアやジョージ・フェネル・ロブソンなど、他の芸術家の作品に動物を描くことで知られていました。彼は1816年に『フランドルとオランダのスケッチ』を出版し、独自のアクアチント版画を添えました。
