Romain Cazes
Französischer Historienmaler
Romain Cazes, Pseudonym von Jean François Étienne Joseph Victor Cazes, war ein französischer Historienmaler. Cazes wurde 1810 in St. Béat (Haute-Garonne) geboren. Er war ein Schüler von Ingres und ist vor allem für seine Porträts und Motive aus der heiligen Geschichte bekannt. Seine Gemälde und Wandmalereien schmücken die Pariser Kirchen St. François Xavier und Notre-Dame de Clignancourt sowie Kirchen in den Provinzen. Er starb 1881.
