Romain Cazes

Romain Cazes, pseudonimo di Jean François Étienne Joseph Victor Cazes, fu un pittore storico francese. Cazes nacque a St. Béat (Alta Garonna) nel 1810. Fu allievo di Ingres ed è noto principalmente per i suoi ritratti e soggetti tratti dalla storia sacra. I suoi dipinti e affreschi decorano le chiese parigine di San Francesco Saverio e Notre-Dame de Clignancourt, nonché chiese nelle province. Morì nel 1881.
