Rudolf Kremlička è stato un pittore ceco. Studiò all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Praga. Qui fu influenzato dalle opere dei pittori Slavíček e Schwaiger. Visitò Parigi, dove ebbe l'opportunità di vedere le opere di importanti impressionisti (il suo modello era Édouard Manet). Fu anche fortemente influenzato da Ingres. In 1924 he published Painting Confessions in which he explained his approach to modern art, nudes and landscape painting in the form of a diary. He died at the age of 45 and was buried in the Olšany cemeteries .
