薩羅尼、梅傑與納普石印公司
開創19世紀美國彩色石印
Major & Knapp 最初於1846年在紐約市成立，名為 Sarony & Major，由石版印刷師兼攝影師拿破崙·薩羅尼（Napoleon Sarony，1821-1896）與亨利·B·梅傑（Henry B. Major）合夥創立。隨著約瑟夫·F·納普（Joseph F. Knapp，約1830-1889）晉升為合夥人，以及理查德·C·梅傑（Richard C. Major）於1857年接替亨利·B·梅傑，公司重組為 Sarony, Major & Knapp。1863年，薩羅尼退出公司，公司更名為 Major & Knapp。1878至1879年間，Major & Knapp 在費城設有分部，地址為南第三街150號。該公司在19世紀40年代的紐約以生產彩色石版畫而聞名，尤其是彩色樂譜封面；而在19世紀70年代後期費城分部活躍期間，公司的專長轉向廣告貿易卡和菸草盒標籤。
